Taking Woodstock

Story about the planning days of Woodstock, centered around the one guy who made it all possible by supplying the permit for the festival.  However, this movie suffers from major identity issues; somewhere along the way it went from cute comedy to boring documentary.  The split screen shots were distracting from the story and I just got the feeling that this movie didn't really know what it wanted to be.  I was really bummed... I expected a lot more from Ang Lee, the man who directed some of my favorite movies: "Brokeback Mountain", "Sense and Sensibility", and "Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon".

2 out of 5 stars
