Did I like this movie? I really can't say that I did. I mean, the performances were phenomenal (esp. by Mo'Nique who deserves her Oscar) and for that alone I give this movie 3 stars. But the content was just so disturbing and sickening that I was nauseated the entire time and almost stopped watching the movie halfway through. The violence and abuse depicted are so extreme as to border on sensationalism. I have to disagree with the Academy on this one for choosing this movie as a Best Picture nominee in 2010.
